The monk who sold the Ferrari

Image
I am neither a book critic nor a book reviewer so this blog post is not a book review... This is purely an interesting incident that happened recently. I always have the intention to buy books but ironically many books remain in my table drawers waiting for its turn to be read, which may not happen in my lifetime.  If the book cover is changed in the second edition there is a fair chance that I would buy the same book again. To remind me of the books I commissioned a bookshelf in my living room. The colorful books neatly arranged in the book shelf reminds me of the valuable money spent to buy the books urging me to read. The huge collection of books arranged neatly in the roof high bookshelf of a luxurious mansion’s living rooms all belong to this kind(meant to be bought not to be read). I buy only one book at a time but  they buy books in bulk. The result is the same for all the books in my home and those in the  mansions. They are not even opened ...

A mute story...

Image
Its titled mute story as all communication are cut off in airplane mode.. Yes My co-passenger Mr.Apple is in airplane mode and me too... This is about a usual flight journey. It brings back my memories of my first flight from Lucknow to Delhi in the year 2001. It was a very short flight, one day before 9/11 so there were no security checks.. All you need is flight ticket to walk into the luxury of    hospitality. Unfortunately it didn’t last long for me. Three tier security was introduced before my second flight. Coming back to my first flight, the flight was only an hour long flight. Those days only Indian Airlines is India’s one and only domestic carrier. Food was served from Taj kitchen even in short flights which was my first experience dining at 20,000feet. Now a days food is not served at 20,000 feet its sold there. Even in those days, everyone mind their own business and keep themselves in airplane mode, I mean muted. Newspapers were distributed which keeps e...

Chaos all around.. Is it ??

Image
With morning coffee in my hands, I stand in the portico gasping  the fresh air which was so  refreshing in the morning. It  was a regular day, but I decided to bunk the office after a very long time. Bunking is a special feeling, (btw: bunking is disappearing from work without any information) we would have bunked the classes, but bunking the office is the industry's latest trend. It was a quiet day, as I turn the Newspaper, sipping second coffee of the day, it was really meant to be a relaxed day and the plan was to Eat, sleep, repeat until it becomes boring. How many of you have bunked the office recently? If you haven't tried yet don't waste time bunk your work today and who have already tried, try again. Coming back to the lead concept... I was having second coffee of the day when a very loud horn got my attention. It was a school bus, then a second, a third, fourth sometimes a school bus, sometimes auto rickshaws pic...

Dreams Unlimited

Image
My Indispire Idea has been selected by fellow bloggers for Indispire Edition 210. Pretty excited and thanks to all who voted for my Indispire Idea. Dreams are unlimited. Dreams are vital. Everyone has dreams... hmm.. Everyone see dreams. I rephrased the sentence becoz dreams can’t be controlled. 99% of us doesn’t remember the dreams... why? Imagination is controlled thinking when your mind is conscious whereas dreams are uncontrolled thinking when your subconscious mind takes over. Scientific studies suggest dreams are always in black and white but we look forward for colorful dreams. We are all used with the phrases  “Follow your dreams” “Dreams make the world” and Dreams Factory etc... Advantage of dream is you don’t need to have money to be in Las Vegas, buy a Bugatti or wear a Armani velvet suit, all you need is a deep sleep and a beautiful dream. Have your breakfast in NewYork, Lunch in Chennai and sushi dinner in Tokyo. You don’...

To win is hard.. It's even harder to win over self

Image
It's a narrative prose on how a win on yourself which will pave the way for success. The most difficult personality to control, is thyself. Self-discipline keeps you focused on the goal. Enjoyed a lot while writing this and had a sense of accomplishment after completing. Hope this post will have positive effects on readers. I try hard to succeed, every time I push forward, I slip backward, Success  always evades, Many told success is evasive, but I am determined, I started chasing success day and night, Every time I come closer, I am drained, And success successfully evades, Have to do something different to Succeed, Time to think differently, Decided to Get rid of my thinking about success and walk in my way, Concentrate on what I know and do the best, First time I realized success started following me, Then, I and success are like poles repelling each other, Success, successfully evades again, Lazy Sunday morning I was standin...

Don’t read this post...

Image
Are you attracted to the title of this blog post which says “ Don’t read this post” and eventually start reading the post, its becoz the title invoked your curiosity.. Its the same curiosity which made us walk, run or cycle as far as possible in our childhood days to find, where the sun goes to sleep. Curiosity is the driving force for all inventions. Many authors name their book " Don't read this book", Don't knock my door" etc.. to increase the curiosity of the reader, urging him to buy. Iron age man entered a cave, an unknown force attracted his Iron spear towards the wall, he was  afraid and ran away. Later curiosity brought him back to the same cave and he discovered magnet which lead  to invention of the compass. Compass further increased our curiosity, helping us navigate through forest, desert and seas. Curiosity is the driving force for invention, invention makes the mankind evolve which means curiosity help...

Image
We meet many people in our day today life of different age group and it will not consume much of your intelligence and time to point out the difference of ideologies, way of thinking, different lifestyle and so on among different age groups, which is referred to as Generation gap. Generation gap is a terminology familiar to all of us and heard frequently but we don't have much idea about it and we usually get confused between era( New era starts with downfall of the previous era)and generation(New generation comes into existence when the current generation is flourishing) Understanding Generation: When I was in school our Headmaster was giving a speech about the need for a new block in our school and mentioned the newest block was built a generation ago. Our school was operating for more than a century and you can easily see the building which were built over five generation and the architectural design tells the whole s...

Only well educated people can speak in English but in London even waiters and labors speak only in English. Even small babies speak in English... Indians are badly struck with English Nostalgia and practice American accent and British accent. Many t...
