The lift is so quick that it takes less than a minute from zero to 124. It is a fabulous view from the top with many high raise buildings competing to beat the Iconic building but in vain. Jeddah's waterfront is one of the top of the places to visit for all Jeddah residents and visitors of Jeddah. It was really a great and fun filled experience for the entire family. The main attractions  of the new water front are Prince Faisal Bin Fahad walk way, The promenade, Fountains, Walking& cycling track, the 3D sign board "Jeddah" and of course the Red Sea. Its double Damaka in Jeddah, perfect weather condition and Jeddah's new waterfront. Along with my family I visited Jordan during Eid-Al-Fitr Holidays( Ramadan Holidays). We had 9 days holidays for Eid-Al-Fitr and it was a great opportunity to visit Jordan during these days. Jordan is easily accessible from Jeddah(12 hours by road) but we preferred to take flight rather than driving to Amman. Indian passport holders are eligible for on-arrival visa so we didn't have much hassle of visiting the nearest consulate for visa stamping. Schools are closed for Academic year break for the year 2016-2017 We have been exploring new places of interest in and around Jeddah (Read previous post “ Visit to Dhaban Marine Park ”). One such place is the man made forest (Grove) in Jeddah which is known as Eastern forest. It is not a natural forest, the trees are planted and maintained in vast area (Quite vast). Location: Eastern forest is 21KM from Jeddah and it will take around 30min to reach there. It’s off the highway from Jeddah to Jumum. Take Bariman exit towards Jumum and drive for around 14km, then take the small side road (drive slowly as there are no clear sign boards) and proceed down the road for 4km to reach the Eastern Forest. If you are using Google maps search for “Forest East” which guides you to the exact location. Entrance fees: Entry to the forest is free of cost and entry is allowed only for families. Schools are closed for Academic year break for the year 2016-2017 and yesterday was the first weekend in the academic year break. Kids will be moving on to their next grades this April. We decided to do the weekend differently by visiting the Dhaban Marine Park instead of going to mall or to the cornice in Jeddah . Location: Dhaban marine park is about 40KM from my place.. After Reheily petrol station take the next exit to king Saud Road and follow the Road. You can find sign boards written" Zahban Marine park" which guides you. We started at 3:45PM from Jeddah and reached Dhabhan marine park at 5:10PM.  On the way you can find deep blue colored back waters which gives a real cool feeling to your eyes..
