When everything around the world is standstill due to the pandemic, what else to write about!!!!. Previously an article about " Corona virus and Mental health" was published in my blog page, which received a good response. It is more important  how useful it was, than the response. Even if it had helped a single person in overcoming the disturbance due to lock down, I would consider it as a grand success. The same ideas can be implemented during normal times also. Everyone of us are aware about the global pandemic which is caused by novel Corona-virus named COVID-19. Though Corona-virus is not a new one, the latest mutation which is believed to originate from Wuhan province of China spreads rapidly causing pneumonia. Even some prominent leaders are addressing it as " China Virus" which china has condemned. Followed by the pandemic declaration by WHO many countries has stepped in and have announced lock-down except few countries like Sweden who believe their citizens are self-disciplined to follow the social distancing and personal hygiene without imposing curfew. It’s a great pleasure to write a blog for a social cause.. Recently government of India increased the traffic fines by almost 10x times hoping that the hefty traffic fines would force public to follow traffic  rules. I have tried to give a dimension to this whole episode with respect to the responsibilities of the Government, Individuals & Institution. The increase in fine has created  uproar as well as support among the public. It is usual in any democracy to have such split opinions. Every year April 22nd is celebrated as Earth day . It is an annual event which was first announced in the year 1970. Around 193 countries across the world have declared April 22nd as Earth day. On this day awareness programs were conducted by various institutions to create awareness in protecting our environment. Schools educate the children by conducting drawing, elocution, and essay competition, encouraging the children to be responsible citizens and protect the environment. "Living in peace with nature" translates to adapting ourselves and living in harmony with environment and nature. Urbanization has always tried to over power the environment and  has destroyed nature by creating its own system. Nature takes corrective action in the form of natural disaster now and then. But the concrete building, asphalt roads withstand worst and worst of the natural disasters. Its never late to try and make peace with nature and build our future cities environment friendly. Years of living dangerously article is an inspiration from the Nat Geo documentary(titled Years of living dangerously) which advocates and address the issues of Climate change and its adverse effects.   I have heard about the climate change but haven't taken it very seriously. After watching the documentary program in NatGeo I was frequently struck with thoughts of  what will happen to the planet earth after 50 years where our younger generation will have to live. Isn't it our duty to give them a better planet to live in. I have shared my knowledge and views about Global warming and Climatic change through this post.
