The March of Progress - Joining the dots

God created Adam and Eve and placed them in a nice and beautiful garden and told them not to taste the fruit of the tree which is in the center of the garden… Eve got tempted and tasted the fruit and she also gave the fruit to Adam. After having the special fruit Adam and Eve realized that their anatomy are entirely different, they shy away from each other and invented the robe made of leaves (dress) to cover themselves. God drove them away from the garden for not obeying his words.

 Thrown away from the garden Adam and Eve didn’t find anything to eat, they learnt how to irrigate the land and cultivate crops. Generation passed by and new generation got bored of eating only vegetables and fruits, they invented spear. They hunted with the spear which gave them proteins from raw meat and by the discovery of fire paved the way for BBQ meat (Yummy).  Days and years passed by wandering in the jungle and the population started to increase and the need to explore new places for settlements led to the invention of wheels. Humans started expanding their territories.

God ordered Noah to make an arc and brought rain and flood to destroy the world. Noah and his family and the animals in his arc survived and thus ship was invented and water transport started. With the invention of ship men and women moved to other continents through sea where they found magnets, iron, copper etc. and new languages evolved. Humans started building houses, ships, bullock carts and many more manmade objects came into existence in the universe. Hour glass disappeared,watches came into existence  

Countries were colonized by British emperors. Columbus travelled around the world and discovered many new islands and continents so that British, French and Spanish can colonize the places he newly discovered. America was discovered. There came faraday who discovered electrical flux and Thomas Alva Edison invented the electric bulb. Electricity was generated and the whole world was brightly lit in the night too. The whole world was happy and moving on with new inventions of radio, Television, aero plane, car etc.  

         Meanwhile Alfred Nobel invented explosives with which Humans were able to break the mountains, rocks and make roads which made transportation easier. With good roads, cars, aero planes and ships the world started to shrink virtually (means very less time for travel. From Portugal Vasco-da-Gama travelled by ship and it took almost a year for him to land in GOA now it takes only couple of hours to travel).

Humans wanted to shrink the world further and the result is invention of  computers, internet, laptops, cellular phone, satellite television. Apple and Android contributed too. Smart phones came into existence now information, happenings, friends are only a touch away.

With all those dots joined, basically and truly God wanted humans to roam around in the garden, eating whatever they get from the garden and be happy. But we humans started inventing and started carrying all those inventions loading ourselves with dress, belts, watches, ornaments, laptops, smartphone etc.

A man wanted to know his weight so he steps on a weighing machine. A wild imagination of what will be printed on the weighing machine ticket across Ages

Stone Age: 70KG

Iron Age: 72KG (with clothes and the spear in your hand)

1800 AD: 80KG (with clothes, iron Armor, spear and hat)

1900 AD: 80KG (with clothes, Pistol, cowboy hat and the watch)

1950 AD: 80KG (with clothes, ornaments, watch)

1980 AD: 80KG (with clothes, ornaments, watch & portable radio in your hands)

1990 AD: 80KG (with clothes, ornaments, watch, video game & Walkman)

2000 AD: 85KG (with clothes, ornaments, watch, Walkman & laptop)

2016 AD: 90KG (with clothes, ornaments, watch, laptop, 2 mobiles, credit card)

2040 AD: XXX (out of range TOO many gadgets in your body)

The whole narration is fast forward of what happened in the last 5000 year( I guess.. but could be 50,000 years or more who knows). Now days we have got all comfort, luxury and civilized life style. Thanks to all our fore-fathers who have put in lot of time, money and energy to invent and discover new things.
