Must know Values of life for children - Three "ty's"

Image
This post is written for the Inspire Edition: 199  " what are the 3 most important values that you would teach your child? #responsibleparent " One of the popular Tamil saying "ஐந்திலே வளையாதது, ஐம்பதிலே வளையுமா? Equivalent of this Tamil saying in english is "Bend the twig, Bent the tree". If we need to have responsible citizens we need to teach the values of life in a very early age. Once put on track at an early age, the child won't derail from the values taught when they grow-up. Everyone would like their children to be good in studies, sports, arts or any other discipline, but it  depends on the natural talent of  the child and their personal interest. More than any of these talents the kids need to learn the values of life without out which any form of talent is useless. Remember we need to teach children 3 ty's which will  help them to become responsible citizens ...

What happens If .....

Image
What happens If... post deals with negative thoughts which flashes in our mind when we are planning to pursue our dreams or ambition. The ambition need not be creating a billion dollar company, but it can be anything in day today life to dreaming of becoming a successful politician... The most frequent thought which flashes in anyones mind is What happens if I fail.. What happens if I could not perform.. etc.. especially when one has to move from his/her comfort zone. Moving out from the comfort zone is one of the toughest tasks as you may have to sacrifice the comfy working environment, flashing monthly salaries etc.. Negative thoughts brings negative energy and pulls one down and makes the most easiest task look harder. Better said than done, launch a counter attack on the negative thought, What happens if I succeed.. What happens if I perform well.. Ya first you asked yourself What happens if I fail.. which is answered by another que...

Food is first tasted with eyes, which stimulates the taste in the brain and intrigues the taste buds to taste the food . This post is compilation of those pictures.  You may start drooling and get extremely hungry after or while reading this post. Be ready with towel to wipe the drool and Chicken Tikka to fill your stomach Colorful Vegetable carving in a marriage function. vegetable carving has become extremely popular in marriage receptions in Tamilnadu. Do I really need to...

Image
Do I really need to..... As I scrolled through my whatsapp messages, I came across an interesting letter written by school teacher to the parents of the students which quoted “ Your children will be sitting for exams soon and you all hope they would pass with high grades. It would be great to see all students pass with good grades.. In case if your kid didn’t get good grades, Remember musician don’t need mathematics, Sports man don’t need physics, Artist don’t need Biology. Every student has different talent. Life is not only about studies, encourage and motive your children and you will see them conquer great heights” What we can do: We don't need to inspire those who study hard with absolute passion, instead inspire those who have special talents of being a musician, sportsmen, artist etc...etc.. to take up education and use education and education system to their advantage. Isn’t it a great letter written by a responsible teacher...

Most of the readers from Tamilnadu would know about the title. Those who are not familiar, Its a super hit Tamil movie which translates to "Jobless Graduates". Recently Second series of the movie is also released. Interesting the movies revolves around the Unemployed Civil Engineer who struggles and finds his way to complete the low cost housing project with the help of other unemployed engineers. Surely this post is not a film review but instead trying to put forward the concept and core of the movie of being an engineering graduate(VIP) In 1980's the movie "Varumaiyin Niram Sigapu" talks about the unemployment problem faced by graduates in India, how they pass their days with hunger and the atrocities faced by them. Similarly the film  'Three Idiots'(Hindi) and 'Nanban'(Tamil)talks about the education system which the Indian society believes to be a success formulae.
