Don't Look back but look back

Everyone passes through many characters, events, happenings, memories in their lifetime. As years pass by it becomes experience and brings maturity and refinement to one's character. There are many characters, incidents. events etc.. which one needs to remember and look back, and there certain things which needs to be discarded and never looked back.
In 1960 Olympics in Rome Milka Singh the flying Sikh was running furiously in 400 meters finals and his competitor were no where near him. His win was certain. He knew no one was ahead of him, but he just turned and looked back and slowed down a little bit as his opponents were far behind and pathetically he finished 4th in the race. It's a wrong time and place when he looked back and lost his race.
There are certain things which one shall not be look back... and there certain things one shall always look back and remember.
When you are driving on the highway, though you focus on the road. At times we need to look back in the mirror to see the traffic behind us... and its equally important not to look back while passing a heavy truck.. We need to have the combination "Don't Look Back But Look Back"

Don't look back:

Don't look back on your decisions: Think million times before you take your decision, but once you decide irrespective of whether its right or not(undoubtedly always keep room for improvement), Don't look back, stick to your decision and focus on your goal.
Don't look back on your painful past: There are many situations, where we were humiliated, put-down by our loved ones or friends, cheated upon etc.. Don't look back at those painful past, as it will end up in anger and anguish, which leads to depression or aggression.
Don't look back at your past life: You might have had a better life or worst life when compared to be your present in life. Past is gone and future is un-known, live the present moments. Don't look back at your past life, you may get trapped in illusions and expectations.

Look back:
Look back at your stepping stones: Every individual have stepping stones in their life.. parents, relatives, friends, teachers etc...etc... It is not fair to neglect those stepping stones of our life. We shall look back at our stepping stones with great respect and love. Looking back at your stepping stones makes life meaningful and gives fulfillment.
Look back when you need motivation: There are days when we feel like "I can't take it anymore" "I give up" In such situation, we ought to look back to realize how far we have come and the hurdles we have crossed.. which fuels and brings lot of energy to continue.. Look back at your journey when you need motivation.
Look back at your failures: Failures are the stepping stones for success. It is worth-full to re-visit your failures and re-assess, how you managed to overcome the failures... Looking back and analyzing your past failures throttle you towards success.

"Don't look back you are not going that way" "Look back only to know how far your have come" are  very famous quotes( Hat's off) from the internet. We need to use a combination of both these verses in our life to keep ourselves away from anguish, agony, depression or aggression and to have a meaningful, motivated, peaceful, successful life.
