It was early 20th century... It was more than 50years since Sepoy Mutiny(1857) happened, Well, British governance was facing tough agitation from Indian tribal leaders, Nawab's and Kings in many forms. By then British were  ruling India for more than a century and they have no plans to leave India because of the wealth it possesses, abundance of raw materials and cheap resources . They started Indian rail, planted tea gardens, developed hill stations and India has became a county( I guess) and integral part of Great Britain and Indians became immigrants in their very own country While British were developing infrastructure for the sake of rich and the powerful, we Indians were busy fighting against each other in the name of caste, creed and religion. Many castes were prohibited from entering the temples, denied formal education and women had no respect and rights  in the society. Child marriage, bonded labor  and satti were in practice. India...

Don't Look back but look back

Everyone passes through many characters, events, happenings, memories in their lifetime. As years pass by it becomes experience and brings maturity and refinement to one's character. There are many characters, incidents. events etc.. which one needs to remember and look back, and there certain things which needs to be discarded and never looked back. In 1960 Olympics in Rome Milka Singh the flying Sikh was running furiously in 400 meters finals and his competitor were no where near him. His win was certain. He knew no one was ahead of him, but he just turned and looked back and slowed down a little bit as his opponents were far behind and pathetically he finished 4th in the race. It's a wrong time and place when he looked back and lost his race. There are certain things which one shall not be look back... and there certain things one shall always look back and remember.
