5 Interesting must have board games in every home

In 1980's parents encouraged children to go out and play outdoor games. In early 1990's we started living in multistoried building. Multistoried buildings occupied the open areas which once served as playgrounds. Parents also encouraged children to keep indoors and play indoor games. 2000's saw rapid change of technology which soon replaced indoor games with video games and computer games.
Despite all technological development and change of mindset some of the Indoor board games have survived and are popular till date  as these games are pretty interesting, provides a gush of adrenaline and could shape the thought process of the players. Board games gives plenty of family time too. Though there are numerous games I would like to list top five board games in chronological order that every home must have.
Carrom Board:  Carrom board provides excitement equivalent to any outdoor game. Carrom is played with a minimum  of two players or a maximum of four players and can be played as individual game or team game. It has 19 coins(9 white, 9 black and 1 Red) and a striker, which is used to pocket the coins. Carrom develops hand-eye coordination, focus and target aiming skills. You and your friends or family could easily spend 2-3 hours without knowing playing Carrom.
Chess: Chess is believed to have originated in India and is one of the oldest board games. Two players are required to play Chess. Chess is a game which is all about calculations, planning, guessing the moves of your opponent etc...etc.. It involves a lot of brain activity, but the game moves in a slow pace which sometimes may go for days and end up in a draw. Try rapid chess moves, which gives adrenalin pump and makes you feel as if you are in a real battle ground.
Scrabble: Scrabble is a word game which tests your vocabulary skills. Every country or region has its own version of dice games. ஆடுபுலியாட்டம்(lamb and tiger) is one such game originated in southern India and widely played in almost throughout India.
Playing Cards: I have purposefully kept playing cards in fifth place as it is a very addictive game and used in many forms of gambling. I sincerely advise everyone not to involve in gambling in any form. Depending on the number of participants, number of card decks can be increased to accommodate many players. Some very popular card  games are Bridge, literature and Rummy and is played throughout the world. Children can play memory game which increases their IQ level and memory. UNO cards  are specially designed playing cards for kids.
