Visit to Dhaban Marine park

Schools are closed for Academic year break for the year 2016-2017 and yesterday was the first weekend in the academic year break. Kids will be moving on to their next grades this April. We decided to do the weekend differently by visiting the Dhaban Marine Park instead of going to mall or to the cornice in Jeddah .

Location:
Dhaban marine park is about 40KM from my place.. After Reheily petrol station take the next exit to king Saud Road and follow the Road. You can find sign boards written" Zahban Marine park" which guides you. We started at 3:45PM from Jeddah and reached Dhabhan marine park at 5:10PM. On the way you can find deep blue colored back waters which gives a real cool feeling to your eyes.. The best time to be there is around 4:00PM

Entrance fees:
Dhaban marine park is maintained by Rabya group and entry to the marine park is not free. SR 7/Person is collected as entry fees, but it worth to mention this fees is nominal as the whole marine park is maintained neat and clean, Lawn evenly cut and properly maintained toilets. There are separate entries for families and single.
About the marine park:
You are welcomed by curved walls with a paintings of prominent persons in the entrance  ( I am not sure who those personalities are?)
It has sports and games arena for kids to play
Lush green lawn, you can sit on the lawn and watch the kids play while having a cappuccino( Stalls can be found selling tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks in the marine park)
The Bay watch area where you can have a good view of Red sea and watch the fire ball disappearing inside the sea(Sunset)
and the Beach area with sand.
Kids enjoyed a lot playing in the shallow water, making sand castle in the sands and playing in the games arena and we had a great time watching them make the sand castle.
Dhaban Marine park is a great escape spot from daily routine and stress and for those who are looking for a relaxed weekend.
